There aren't enough hours in the day. Every night when my head hits the pillow I can always think of another thousand things I still want to do or get done! I don't get bored and am perfectly content in my own company but equally I love to be sociable.

I'm nuts about skincare.

Having had fairly severe childhood eczema, I experimented from an early age and became unusually familiar with textures, fragrance, efficacy and ingredients through trial and error along with sheer curiosity. I developed a love of independent skincare brands am now studying towards a Diploma in Skincare Formulation.

I am utterly candle obsessive (and very fussy about what denotes a good candle).

My faves are Bibliotheque by Byredo, Baies, Roses and Figuier by Diptyque, Estérel by Cire Trudon and of course NEOM who, as the only brand mentioned here that is not perfumer-led, are the crème de la crème of natural wax candles.

I practise aromatherapy in the home (self-taught) and enjoy making my own lip balm, facial oils and scented candles.

No one in my household enjoys my singing as much as I do. Sadly.

Luckily I belong to a talented Ladies Ensemble and get to share the joy with them. Over the years, with different groups I have sung at birthday parties, in churches, at Indigo at the O2, in Wembley Arena and even on the grass at Wembley Stadium. Singing (and the wonderful ladies I sing with) gives me life.

I was born in the year of the Rat according to the Chinese Zodiac.

Not that I like being likened to a rat but I can't deny the traits ring uncannily true: outgoing, cheerful, and sociable in character, can get along well with different people. Industrious and thrifty, diligent and positive. They love to enshrine and collect (I blame my shoe collection, skincare and make up and craft obsessions on this). They have a keen intuition.

My happiest days are the ones spent either with the kids...

...tinkering with some creative endeavour, amongst the flowers in the garden, walking in the countryside with a friend or on a beach in hot sun. The South of France holds a very special place in my heart but give me any white sandy beach in the sun and I'd need no convincing to pack my bags.

I am something of a connoisseur when it comes to spa treatments and massage.

I frequently write reviews in my head after receiving a treatment, though no-one has actually commissioned one of my reviews. Yet...

rejoice in the way things are.

When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you."
