I first used a mist by way of cooling the skin in the heat of summer. Now, it has become an essential part of my skincare practice. I've not used the word 'routine' here purposefully because it doesn't slot into a specific stage and therefore there is no routine: I use it under, over, before, after, in between and in any which way I can! In short, I love a hydrating mist. My personal favourite is Josh Rosebrook's Hydrating Accelerator which is so utterly thirst quenching and has the most calming, relaxing scent, I get kind of angsty when nearing the end of a bottle.

Aside from containing effective hydrating ingredients (hyaluronic acid, rosewater, niacinamide, glycerin, oils), one of the most important features of a good facial mist has more to do with the packaging than the product itself. For the perfect delivery, the weight of mist needs to be superfine, ultralight and consistent regardless of how much remains in the bottle. These are some of the mists I come back to time and time again.
