BOOKS ON SKIN...

Fanatical about skincare products, I am also mildly (extremely) obsessed with reading about skincare too. Rather than sit with a novel, I love to pour over ingredients and facts. I have a library of reference material to call upon which has also inspired me to create some of my own products at the kitchen table. There are many more to be featured here in the future, but for starters, here are just a few of the books I really think are worth their salt.

Liz Earle
THE SKINCARE BIBLE
As you would expect from the vastly knowledgable Liz Earle, this takes a holistic approach to looking after one's skin at every stage in our lives. Contains a beautiful section on plant based ingredients and useful tips on nutrition, everyday fitness, sleep health and much more.

Caroline Hirons
THE SKINCARE BIBLE
A wealth of information from the widely respected skincare guru and blogger Caroline Hirons. Her blog was so popular, readers demanded a book and will love that they can now gift the content to fellow skin lovers.

Dr Anjali Mahto
THE SKINCARE BIBLE
From a consultant dermatologist, this has a focus on skin conditions and the things that affect them. An easy guide if you're looking for tips and advice to help with improving specific issues.

Jennifer Rock
THE SKINCARE BIBLE
Principled (including '10 Skin Nerd Commandments'), this is an easy one to dip in and out of. It encourages the reader to take control of skincare from the inside out and includes a section on nutrition.

Deborah Burnes
THE SKINCARE BIBLE
With some skin basics covered in the opening section, the bulk of this is a handy, un-biased, dictionary style list of definitions of some of the most common product ingredients.

Natalia Michalun
THE SKINCARE BIBLE
Now in it's 4th edition (I have the 3rd), this is strictly a dictionary for true geeks who want all the science with definitions of just about every ingredient you can think of.
