To bath or to shower? I am unashamedly in favour of the bath and would take several a day if I could spare the time. In my busy household, it's a sacred place where I can actually lock the door and demand privacy! So once the world is outside (and yes they do still come knocking), it's a place of tranquility, quiet, calm and relaxation. Always with aromatherapy oils and often with candles lit, I like to scoop up some of the bath oils into my palms and take a few deep breathes. Inhaling whichever carefully chosen oil I'm using, I can almost feel them hitting the limbic system in the brain affecting mood and performance for the day ahead.
I love that bath time is a time to reconnect and attend to all the body parts that are usually ignored throughout our busy days. A quick scrub will remove dead skin making you feel instantly buffed and invigorated. Then depending on time of day, I'll either apply a lovely body oil onto damp skin for a quick absorption or with more time on my hands I'll use an all over body moisturiser which needs longer to soak in. Gone are my days of regular tanning so if I need a glow boost these days it needs to be easy, fuss free and ideally have added benefits too. Thanks to Hyglo (below), this simple addition means a quick easy glow can be achieved with none of that awful tackiness! This edit here features my reliable and consistently repurchased bath and body favourites.
